At Pinchgut we have many friends at the Australian Broadcasting Corporation. Classic FM broadcasts our productions, ABC Classics records them for CD release (Idomeneo will be out soon) and they help us in many other ways.
But this is a purely personal comment. Julia Lester who presents a programme called Classic Drive (but I wish they could think of a better title) from 17:05 to 20:00 (Australian time - it goes to air at local time despite time zones) is one of the few people who can persuade me to turn off the CD player and turn on the radio. She presents very interesting stuff and sounds as if she is really interested in what she is playing and saying. Not everyone on radio can manage that.
And the programme can be heard through the ABC Classic FM website all around the world but you'll need to work out the correct time yourselves. For what I assume are copyright reasons, ABC Classic FM programmes are, generally, not available for Listen Later.
In case no one from the ABC picks it up: on demand broadcasts of the latest Classic Drive are on the internet
